Cover for a new book by Eric Gansworth titled Apple (Skin to the Core).  In Native communities, the term ‘Apple’ is used as a racial slur for someone who is ‘red on the outside, white on the inside’. Apple is a memoir of Eric growing up, and this is his portrait hidden beneath the peeled apple. BuzzFeed selected this book as 'one of the most beautiful book covers of 2020'.
